On location with Professional Applications, Inc.

Professional Applications, Inc. is currently working on a home remodel for a couple in Milwaukie, Oregon. They have lived in their 1960's ranch home for thirty years, and now their long awaited remodel has finally made it out of the planning stages. The original aluminum frame windows will be replaced throughout the house. The family room, once a dark wing with only two windows, will be transformed into a room full of light with a view of the 80 year-old apple and cherry trees in the back yard. Details of the working plans include:

• Complete vinyl window package
• Hardwood floors in the family room
• Bay window
• Updated fireplace, refaced with Travertine
• New wrap around Mantle

The challenge with this project has been that the remodeling work affects every room in the house, and that means we need to be sensitive to the fact that we are working where our clients live. The clients were motivated, but the plan took over a year to come to fruition. Although the original focus was to replace some windows, the homeowners seized the opportunity to update their house, and the job has grown into a remodel that accomplishes much, yet remains within the couple's budget. The work we're doing here will make a big difference in energy conservation, resale value and most importantly, aesthetic beauty.
